Who I am
Hi, I’m Adam. I started my fitness journey 10+ years ago after studying personal training in University College Dublin. I became a personal trainer and worked in one of Ireland’s most prestigious gyms where I trained anyone from beginners to athletes both in person & online.
After years of training in the gym, I felt a deep lack of meaning in the gym and if I am being honest life in general but it is this exact moment when things usually get interesting no? I found myself fascinated by the early stages of movement culture and the idea of having freedom of mind and body. This lead me to studying dance, movement for theatre and any sub groups outside of the gym.
I still continued to work and use the gym as I searched around Dublin. When 2020 hit I decided to dive in fully to environmental movement practices with Marcello Palozzo. I worked with him online for 9 months and then decided to take a full leap into his school in Vienna for 2 years. This is where I got to develop and study multiple field’s such as athletic development, acrobatics, hand balancing, improvisation, fighting. The lens which we studied for the two years was knowing yourself through a movement practice. To do this we also studied multiple internal disciplines alongside our physical practices..
I moved back to Dublin in the summer of 2023 and launched what is now called Movement Practice Dublin. My online movement coaching gives people the opportunity to build a sustainable movement practice that suits their lifestyle, their goals and their location. We work on body, mind and develop a long term practice together. I’m based in Dublin, coaching people across Ireland and the globe.
I’m a movement student for life, always learning and always growing. My aim is to show people that there are different ways of moving, that it can be fun and that you can, in fact, move anywhere - anytime.
